Class ideas about good writing: (in-class work on Sept. 18)
  • Learn about the structure of writing
  • Choose a clear topic
    • Know what you want to write about
  • Research your topic
  • Write in a simple and short manner
  • Brainstorm before you start writing
  • Correct and proofread your writing before you hand it in
    • Look for mistakes and then write a clear, concise summary
  • Try not to use the same word throughout your composition
  • Use a blog (to practice your writing? I wasn't sure what this meant)
  • Maintain consistency in your writing style
  • Keep writing what's in your mind (i.e. write in your freewriting journal often?)
